Today, more than ever the need for self-care is at an all-time high. However, this can look different for everybody. For some, they take to the trendiest spas. Having a consistent date night with my significant other is extremely important to me. The alone time, bonding and creation of new memories is needed in any relationship. Habit makes it easy to neglect your relationship. Careers and the hustle and bustle of everyday life imposes an even bigger threat. That’s why being intentional about this area of your life can prevent unnecessary stressors to your emotional well-being.

Family Date

I don’t know about you, but I have to have my “me” time! Depending on my mood, it can be super simple or extremely over the top. It can be impromptu or strategically planned. Either way, I am sure to set aside some solo self-care time. You can find me carving out 20 minutes each day to read. Some months, it can look like me scheduling a facial or massage. When I’m feeling really compelled, it’s planning and booking future travels or making luxury purchases because I deserve it!
Find the thing that brings you peace and joy. It will look different for everyone. You deserve to pamper yourself. You deserve a peace of mind. You earn everyday a minute to breathe. Whether you are a mom, wife, single or taken find a way to refresh and recharge yourself. We often give so much of ourselves to others but never carve out the time to pour back into ourselves. Friend Date
Good friends are hard to find! So, if you have one or a hand full count your blessings. Fortunately, I am very blessed to have a small group of women who I call friends. However, associates count too. Co-workers count too. Friendships in development count too.
The goal is to get some time with peers to get in some good laughs and conversation. Whether it’s a girl’s day to talk about the girlie things you can’t talk to your Bae about or some guy time talking sports, it is needed for the perfect monthly self-care balance.
