When was the last time you just felt good? I mean, so good that nothing anyone did or said to you could make you feel no other way but good. The feel good where you were energized, light on your feet, no complaints, mentally whole, just good.
I don’t know about you but I strive to feel good everyday! Keeping in mind that every day things will be thrown my way that may compromise this intention, carving out even just an 15 minutes of “feel good” time is essential for me. I find that when I start my day implementing some of my favorite “feel good” techniques the rest of my day is half the battle. Also, if I find myself not feeling so good, recollecting on these exact feel good moments I had previously helps give me the little push I need to conquer anything thrown my way.
Realistically, what makes me feel good may not be the triggers that make you feel good. Your goal should be finding your feel good moments and then just milk them!
6 Things I Do To Feel Good Everyday
Pray
This is the ultimate aid to achieving a peace of mind for me. When I start my day with prayer I feel mentally complete. When I start my day with prayer I notice that I give the best version of myself. For example, I am much nicer, more forgiving, less stressed, more organized, my direction is clear and so much more. For me, this is the ultimate feel good moment! Release that dead weight in the morning and watch how easily your day flows. Try it!
Stretch
I make sure I stretch everyday. If I don’t stretch I feel tight, sore, and stiff. You name it! It doesn’t take long to do so. In fact, it’s one of the first things I do when I roll out of bed in the morning. There are many great health benefits to stretching. For example, stretching keeps your muscles healthy and increases your flexibility.
As a mom, we need flexible and healthy muscles to lift and play with our children. We also minimize the risk of injury throughout our day when we stretch and this is important when toting around baby carriers, baby wearing, heavy diaper bags and so on. It’s also great for those of us who sit all day at work. As this is pretty tough on our bodies. My back and posture has taken a huge hit from sitting at a desk all day. Stretching has helped to improve my posture and ease back pain.
So, the next time you want a feel good moment to take on your day, try stretching!
Read
I love to read! My love for reading started as a little girl. It was reading that transported me to joyful and peaceful places when I felt the need to escape. Even as an adult today, I use reading as a form of relaxation. As a result, I make sure that I read something everyday. Whether it is a magazine, newspaper, book, or another blog.
I’m a big advocate for self-education. You can learn so much from reading even just one paragraph a day from an area of interest. So, the next time you need to be transported from a place of stress, boredom, anxiety, frustration or uneasiness read your way to your feel good moments.
Drink Plenty Of Water
Drinking plenty of water everyday is essential. It feels great when I know that I have met my water intake goal for the day. It feels good when I know that I have been good to my body. All the benefits of drinking water may not be instant but I know that over time the benefits are far worth the wait. One benefit I do notice immediately is that I don’t feel so weighed down like I do when I may partake in drinking soda. I feel light and more energized when drinking water for sure! If the physical benefits aren’t evident with each swallow, the mental benefits are for sure. As a result, make sure that you are drinking plenty of water so that your body feels good everyday!
Write
Writing for me is very therapeutic. I always keep a journal with in arms reach to jot down my thoughts and plans. Writing is a way to get rid of dead weight. It doesn’t have to be anything professional. Brain dumping is just a way to free up some mental space so that you can focus on things that make you feel good. Try it! Set a timer for 3-5 minutes and just write down whatever comes to mind.
Drink Tea
I’m such a tea love these days! Drinking tea is great for our overall health and has so many great benefits. I’m always intentional about starting my morning with a nice cup of warm Pure Leaf tea. It’s one of my favorites! Whenever i’m under the weather or need a pick me upper, I find my reset, refocus and refresh moment in a freshly brewed cup. The great thing about them is that all Pure Leaf teas are made with the finest-quality ingredients and the simplest process. They also have a great range of tea for all taste buds. Their focus on the environment is unmatched and their strong, bold flavor is just enough to make you feel good every day.
I’m also a big fan of their containers because they are easily stored, easily transportable and easily recycled. I’ve found some great uses for their containers once I’ve depleted my tea stash.
Don’t just take my word for it! Pick up a container of their pyramid bags for yourself and be sure to come back and tell how good it made you feel!

I’m with you on almost all of these! I need to make more time for prayer and stretching/light exercise again. Sometimes I combine it and do these two things at the same time, with a faith-based stretching routine like CaraMayan (you can google it). Also I’ve been drinking a tumeric tea lately that is great for reducing inflammation in the body too!

Sounds like your feel good moments are going great! I’m going to try that tumeric tea.

Great ideas! I’ve been reading more lately. When I have a rough day I tell my husband I just need 5 minutes to read where I’m not responsible for screaming children, and it really helps me stay calm all day!
